why I'm Standing
My name is Marcus Pearcey, and I am standing as an independent candidate for Police and Crime Commissioner because I believe Norfolk deserves less politics and more focus on keeping people safe.
I am not a career politician. For over 25 years I have built businesses across Norfolk, creating jobs, supporting local communities and solving problems. Throughout that time I have worked closely with people from every walk of life and have seen firsthand the challenges many families face.
The reason I want to serve as your Police and Crime Commissioner is simple. I believe we can do better for the people of Norfolk. Too many residents, particularly older people, feel vulnerable to crime, fraud and anti-social behaviour. Too many communities feel disconnected from decision-makers. Our police officers work incredibly hard, but they deserve strong support, clear leadership and someone who will fight for the resources they need.
If elected, I will be an independent voice whose only priority is Norfolk. I will support frontline policing, embrace technology and innovation to help tackle crime more effectively, and ensure greater transparency so residents can see how their police service is performing.

I will work to increase police officers on our streets by reviewing police spending, using better technology and introducing mobile stations.
Every decision I make will be judged against one question:
"Will this get more police officers back into frontline policing?"
Full budget & procurement review.
Continually review how police time is used.
Reduce unnecessary bureaucracy.
Review Al & technology to reduce paperwork.
CCTV review to improve efficiency.
Get Out and Walk: more visible foot patrols.
Haymarket Police Hub - a visible policing presence in our city centre.
Mobile Police Station visiting communities across Norfolk.
More police where people can see them.
Commissioner’s Community Watch Organisation
I will lead efforts to review all CCTV locations across Norfolk and work with partners to establish a volunteer network to monitor them 24/7 to report issues before they escalate.

Norfolk Second Chance Programme
I will support a brand new mentoring programme for suitable ex-offenders because for every person we keep out of crime means fewer victims.
Reducing reoffending reduces crime.
I aim to create 100 employment opportunities every year for suitable people leaving prison by working with.
